Pixbrowser is a lightweight image organiser for Mac OS 9, Mac OS X, x86 Linux and Windows based systems.
It is freeware and always will be.
As of 1st of September 2008, this software is just out of beta stage.
Use this software as you wish. Always make a backup copy of your photos!
Do not hold me responsible for loss of/unexpected/undesirable results from using this program. It still has some rough edges. This is a free program, but on the other hand, I don't see why it can't be made better and better.
(more to follow soon)

Download links are here:
Mac OS 9 version here (Mac-binary file. Size: 2.5 MB)
Mac OS X (motorola based macs) version here (Zip file. Size: 1.2 MB)
Mac OS X (intel macs) version here (Zip file. Size: 1.3 MB)
Linux x86 compiled binary here (Tar G-Zip file. Size: 1.1 MB)
Windows executable here (Exe file. Size: 2.7 MB)
Each platform has different dependencies. For example, calling up an image requires less lines of code under Mac OS X than under Mac OS 9 so the Mac OS X version is subsequently smaller even though the actual function, the end result, of the code is the same. Some systems are more streamlined than others :-)
A multitude of bug fixes, options for actually managing your photos and the beginning of theme support. In the next release I will add exporting to web galleries as well.
The view, save as and delete options are now enabled for all builds.
Pixbrowser BETA released. Don't expect much at this stage. It's a proof of concept release to see how it behaves on other platforms.
Pixbrowser ALPHA version released (Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X (non intel) versions only).
